Have been so incredibly busy and have not had time to add all my milestones and updates. Planning on taking care of that later.

I took drastic measures and deleted all my flower gardens as I found it was too cumbersome and overwhelming to track everything as I would rather just track my vegetable garden. I plan to track my sowings in the spring for everything I sow and then either move them or archive them as necessary.

Chicken Coop is finally finished. We moved it to a better spot with a little more shade and FINALLY got the fencing installed last weekend. What a job! Took us 3 days of work but the chickens were happy to finally get outside. We buried the fencing about 8" down so that nothing digs under the fence to get to them and just have to install the netting over the top. Have about 25 more chicks in the Brooder for a total flock size of about 35. Will be about 3-4 weeks before I can move them out to the coop.

It was quite funny watching one of them get a worm and seeing the rest of them chase it around trying to get the worm. The dogs are wearing a path around the perimeter wanting to get into the coop and chase the chickens.

Harvested a good batch of green beans last night along with about 3 dozen green peppers. Plan on making dilly beans either tonight or tomorrow and planning on making stuffed peppers tonight for dinner. It’s Tom’s B-day today so it will be a nice treat. Have also harvested about a dozen cucumbers and made vinegar and creamy cucumbers. My Dad took some and made some refrigerator pickles. Basil is almost ready for drying and preserving. Tomatoes are setting some great looking fruit and saw that I will have a nice crop of jalapenos soon. Harvested all the peas and will plant a fall crop this weekend. Strawberries are flowering and setting some fruit.

More to come…gotta get back to work!
