The peruvian daffodil is starting to bloom – the hubby’s favorite :). So far it seems we may get only one bloom from the 4 plants this year – but we will have to wait and see.

The trumpet vine trained as a standard – is just starting to bloom and will soon be covered with ants – and is slowly being attacked by the porceline berry vine growing behind it.

The miniature hostas are starting to bloom – and are just adorable. These are one of my favorite new additions to the garden this year.

An un-named phlox is blooming – beautiful, but I HATE not knowing the names of these plants!!

Love the Peruvian Daffodil! Do you bring the bulbs (?) in for winter? The mini hostas are nice too. This year was the first time I’d seen them in pots and I really like that idea.

@ HollyBee: Yes, we dig them up and store them for the winter – just like you would a dahlia bulb. I planted the hostas in a container because I was worried about them surviving the winter. I plan to store them in the greenhouse (unheated) for the winter to give them a little added protection. Hopefully they will make it!

    WOW that daffodil is amazing!
I think your phlox may be ‘Bright Eyes’. I have it in my garden and it looks the same as yours.

    Thanks for sharing.

Love the Peruvian Daffodill, it is such an unusual shape! It must be great watching it ‘unpack’ itself from its bud!
