We placed 8 slug traps throughout the garden last night. We will be adding more. We put one can of beer in each. I checked this morning and they were all full of drowned slugs. Hundreds died last night.

I’m impressed. You’ve got a system that works, and any rain doesn’t dilute your bait. And, you have an excuse to buy beer.

I guess slugs don’t hear or heed the drunken screams of their dying fellows.

Well, can’t throw them in the compost or leave piles of pickled slugs in the garden, so we decided to empty them into a 5 gallon bucket and dump them in our field. I personally think they should go right at the break in the hedge where college kids sneak in at night to drink beer. It would be fitting.
