It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it

I mixed up more potting soil so I could start to pot up the choco cherry tomatoes to their permanent pots on the deck as well as to pot up tomatillo seedlings to one gallon pots. I have a ‘mountain’ of organic garden soil (way over ordered last year for the raised beds) but it is too sandy/heavy for pots, so I amend it with my own compost, peat and some perlite or vermiculite. I mix it in a wheelbarrow and then add in my homemade organic fertilizer. It’s a lot of work!
The pic is of the fava beans – they are about 4 inches tall and have lots of true leaves!
I got all six of the tomatillos done, and just one choco cherry potted before I had to leave to run errands. I also potted up the one basil seedling from the first sowing. The second sowing was much better – it looks like I’ll have plenty of basil plants here soon.
I’ve been putting all of the tomato and tomatillo plants outside to harden them off before planting in their permanent pots. I put them back in the grow room at night as it is still a little chilly.
