I LOVE springtime!
The backyard is awash in tulips and the greatest thing about that is that I didn’t even plant any last year! Only one of the varieties from two years ago was supposed to perennialize yet most of the clumps are flowering! Totally cool!
One the greatest combos ever in the garden is tulip & peony. I’ve under-planted all the peonies with tulips and love the way the peony shoots emerge through the tulip foliage and then help cover the dying leaves of tulips as they unfurl their leaves.
I’m also getting decent herb harvests from the oregano, thyme and chives (yep, I found them … they were in the flower bed in the exact spot I had moved them to //cough …and forgotten … last year!)
Peas are up and growing quick.

Beautiful tulips!
Isn’t it funny how things seem to pop up where we least expect, like right where we put them lol. Happens to me every year.

Seajda … For sure, try the tulips and peonies … it’s a great combo! I’ll try to get more pics tomorrow, they look so nice together!
