Botlotto, French Bean Speedy, Yellow Concador, Runner Bean Desiree and Dwarf Runner Bean Hestia all sown today. Most in toilet rolls but then I ran out, so I put the smaller seeds in small pots – hope they’re deep enough for them. I was planning to sow Purple Teepee too, but I seem to have misplaced the seeds. Think I may have left them at work.. Looking forward to see how the Hestia do as these are seeds I havested from the plants I bought last year.

Also sowed Squash – Patty Pan Scallop Mixed.

The resowing of my third aubergine seed germinated and the original sowings are showing true leaves (pic 1) as are the giant sunflowers (pic 2) and the Soleil Courgette seedling (pic 3).

The All Green Bush seedling seemed to have something wrong with it – its first leaves had pitted holes and the edges were a bit crumpled and it seemed to look sorry for itself. So I decided to scrap it before it gave my healthy Soleil seedling whatever it had. The Black Forest seedling just never even germinated. Sow I’ve resown both of those again today.

Those Bachelor dried peas sprouted pretty quickly too – result.

What I’m most excited about is the fact I now have a Fig Tree! It’s a Brown Turkey standard and is really starting to respond to the sunshine and it’s position against a South facing wall (pic 4 and 5).
