My grand baby girls came to visit yesterday, and it was such a beautiful day we spent most of the time in the back yard. They will be 2 years old in December. We threw balls and they chased them.

I brought out the sidewalk chalk and they went to town on the back porch. Then they went out to my garden and proceeded to pick up my decorative rocks that border the beds and bring them one by one to the back porch. Each rock got a pretty picture drawn on it.

When it was time to go home, my daughter told the twins "OK girls, let's clean up. Time to put up your rocks." They picked them up one at a time (it was all they could do to lift some of them) and carried them back lining the garden beds with beautiful "garden art".

Thank you girls! I hope we have many years of garden art and fig harvesting ahead of us.
