  <description>And now for the happy journal (after weeds, disease and death)... Many of the seeds I planted last week are sprouting! This (and harvesting) is what it's all about.

The 'proper' corn hasn't sprouted after 11 days, but all but one of the Aldi kernels are up after only 5 days (they are in the raising tray, guess I'll have to be patient for the others). Also, the dill is through, as are most of the pumpkins and half of the tomatoes (interestingly, tomatoes are divided over two sections of the tray, and all of one side is up but none of the other). Still waiting on the capsicum and marigold. Not sure about the watermelon, I think some are up but I can't exactly remember where they are relative to the pumpkins...</description>
