Sometimes the obvious takes a while.
I've had these offcuts of 50mm mesh hanging around for a while, years in fact. They were leftovers reclaimed from some job that I can't recall now, it was that long ago.. I've used them previously to cover seedlings from birds, cats and other curious creatures, but for the most part they've been a nuisance and have hung on the fence looking good, but doing nothing.

I've thought of them before as trellis material but dismissed them because of their narrow profile, there are plenty of larger pieces around the place better suited to the task. That was until the *'duh'* moment when the obvious presented itself, while my guard was down :) *Turn them sideways dopey!*

Having decided they could be used as trellises after all, why not use them to span the paths. Rather than sticking them _in_ a bed, use the space _between_ the beds. Some would call it permaculture principals, but tell that to an old hand and they'd probably look at you and think _'city boy'_. Anyway, better late than never, this city boy has remembered his roots - and not before time!

Snake beans here I come! (and 7 year beans, and cucumbers, and...)

# Looking South east. 4 of the Arbors spanning the path, and one in the immediate foreground
# Looking South west. same 4 Arbors spanning the path - hard things to get a good view of.
# Looking North east. same 4 Arbors spanning the path - last one I promise.
# Cleaning up the mesh with boltcutters and a flap grinding disc. "Sticky outy bits" litter the ground.
# Mesh pre cleanup - all "sticky outy bits" to be removed, make them _kiddy safe_ now that they've all grown up.
