The lemon verbena was pretty much taken out by frost, but I had harvested most of the plant a few days earlier and made lemon verbena syrup. Over the past couple of weeks I've been having a little as a sweetener in tea, or in sparkling wine.

Today I went out to check on things in the backyard and finally spotted the grey bunny that my husband told me had been hanging out in the kitchen garden. It hopped out from beneath the chives and took off toward the compost. Now I know who's been eating my strawberries.

Still haven't carved up the Dahlia 'Bahama Mama' clump, but have packed away most of the tubers and am working a little on a tuber tracking project to help me know better which tubers to cull when dividing in the future.
