I've never ripened a tomato indoors before. Remember that green tomato that I accidentally picked? I stuck it in my fruit bowl, next to an old banana (an excellent ethylene gas producer) and let it ripen.

I honestly didn't think it would work because the tomato was completely green. I planned on frying it up, but then I noticed it was blushing, so I decided to see if it would ripen. It did.

I ate it for breakfast this morning, and it was good. The texture seemed a bit off, and it wasn't warm from the sun, but it was a good tomato. I'll have to remember this at the end of the season!
