This is going to sound a bit odd, but I was picking up a bit of smoke flavour .... I've been busy prepping for the wine & tomato tasting next weekend so maybe my imagination is over-reacting and tasting things that aren't there ... but I'm getting smokiness! They seem a little less flavourful than stupice, but that could be due to all the rain of late. First impression is that the texture is a little soft & gelly for a salad tomato, but it does make a good slicer. Also ... I picked a bowl full of cherry tomatoes yesterday because there were so many that were cracked. They were gobbled up by Ron & the kids before I got a chance to weigh, photograph or even estimate how many of each I picked. I did note that my 'green grape' tomatoes are in fact orange ...miss-labelled seed? Ron likes 'Snow White' the best Tea likes 'Gardener's Delight' Jaden only likes tomatoes dressed with oil & vinegar so he doesn't care what kind they are!
