This is the first zucchini I’ve ever grown, and although it is a bit on the irregularly shaped side, I’m still pretty proud! :)
I think I have to watch the watering of the zucs more than I thought I did, judging from the irregular swelling.
Also harvested a 1/2 bowl of the cambridge favourites, they are definitely not producing as much as last year – I’m half thinking of pulling them up and putting something else in that container…

As this is your first time with zucchini’s, a word of warning, don’t turn your back on them. Check them regularly and harvest often, if you miss one they have a habit of tripling in size and becoming Marrows. I don’t know what Striato D’Italia’ is like but I wouldn’t trust it.
It’s amusing the first couple of times but wears thin after a while – the cook doesn’t always get the joke about a bountiful harvest :-)
