6 more green beans (in fridge with the others)
26 pea pods (the kids ate them all, so nothing got frozen)
1 strawberry (eaten by Sam)
Watered the garden for an hour again. It’s just so hot!
I am pretty sure the lettuce is done. I picked a couple of leaves last night and they were bitter.

I’ve had hardly a shelled pea thanks to my kid. I’m definitely planting more next year so we can all have some!

I remember eating them raw as a kid. In fact, I’m not sure my mom ever saved any…. Either we didn’t grow enough, or we ate them all. Probably a combination of both!
I planted them primarily for that reason (although was hoping to have some to freeze!), so no complaints here!
I did only plant one row, and saved the rest of the seeds, for a fall planting. See, I’m smart and thought ahead. :)
