I'm so clueless.

No, really. There are a lot of things I'm *not* clueless about, but when I look outside, into the tangled knot of weeds that make up what should be a back yard?

Clue. Less.

I'm heading to the local gardening supply store tomorrow, most likely, if it doesn't storm here to beat the band. (Which it's been doing for the past three days, or I'd have been there already.) I plan to pin down one of the green-shirted workers and offer him/her cookies to point me in the right (read: easiest) direction for an utter newb like myself.

Understand that before this, plants would die just from being in my proximity. Last year, I was able to get tomatoes (!) that I grew all by myself (!!), and I'm kinda hooked. I'm just completely unknowledgeable about how things get from little hard rocklike seeds to food.

I'll update more as the Cluetrain arriveth.
