It was a funny year this year, the peppers seemed to be slow off the mark, perhaps I need to get them in and established earlier - a bit more feeding in the early stages. Comfrey tea, here we come! The harvest tally is from all the hot peppers, as stripped from the bushes today. That includes the Poinsettas, Red Hot Cherries, Jalapeno (2nd year in the ground) and Long Red Cayenne. As a rough guestimate that would be a fifth of the total yield since they started, at 16 plants in total that's approx 190 grams per bush. With Myfolias new harvest tracking abilities, I'll know for certain next year! We'll string the smaller ones out on a cotton thread over the fire place, and add the remainder to a few extra hot winter soups and bean dishes.
