Random puttering around today. A trip to the greenhouse made me not only five plants the richer (Woodland Sage ‘Caradonna’, Rudbeckia ‘Irish Eyes’, Snowdrop Anemone, Toad Lily, and Spanish Lavender ‘Kew Red’), but also one wine barrel the richer.

A real wine barrel too, some wine even still in it. We’re going to cut it in half and have two little tiny water features in the yard. One under the huge old lilac for sure, not too sure where the other one will go yet.

As for the general puttering around, did some awful lawn work (not that it was particularly awful, but I consider any sort of lawn maintenance awful, which is why I’m endeavouring to get rid of as much as possible). I potted up some lemon balm seedlings, rosemary, pepper ‘Little Blue’, and Tomato ‘Zomu’.

The five starts I got today will eventually be planted out when I get the chance. Unfortunately, that chance will not be today.

I also snapped up some oregano from a friend’s where it grows wild. I’ve planted a few out in strategic areas of the lawn in the hopes that it’ll go wild in my yard as well (another battle against the lawn).
