0 2009-03-19T14:45:49-05:00 false Today, as well as sowing sweet peas, leaf lettuce and a hummingbird mix of flower seeds, I tackled the organization of my plantings which have really gotten gotten out of hand since last Fall. I pruned the Madagascar jasmine so I could move it to the corner planter backed by a trellis on the wall. Now, it no longer has to meander alont the railing to get there. While I was at it, I also pruned the Nasturtium vine, which had pratically reached the ceiling of the balcony already and taking over the trellis. I inadvertently pruned the first tiny rose on my rosebush, but maybe that's not so awful. It's only March and actually may be better that the rosebush continue stemming out and rooting before going into bloom. I separated a tomato plant from amidst a parsely patch and planted it near a wall for support later. I moved the three chives plants and the numerous parsely plants together. They now run along edging the front of the lettuces and rosemary bush. I also moved the allysum, aloe vera, fledging spider plants and impatiens. The aloe vera does not look good. The weather is supposed to be cool over the weekend so the plants should be able to settle in there new spots well.
