03/18 Peas and such update 1

17 Mar 2009
Sunny 18°C / 65°F

After the attack of the killer sprout beheader, I went and covered the raised bed with row cover. That seems to have kept them at bay, thankfully.

Oregon Sugar pod 1.5 inch tall, doing great, sugar snap 1 inch tall and doing decent, Blue Podded pea doing fantastic at 2-2.5 inches tall

Bok Choy coming up, just getting ready to show true leaves, Broccoleto a bit smaller, but doing good as well.

Lettuce is a no show, possibly bad seeds, I’ll do a germination test to find out.

Greensage peas had very poor germination – probably only 1/4 of them germinated. By comparison the Blue Podded pea out of the total plants only 2 didn’t come up, pretty much 100%.

Yeah, I think I’m going to have peas coming out of my ears…
