The clocks have gone forward, so now it will appear to be light for longer in the evening. Yesterday there was a large flock of crows to the north, so the spring migration north has started even here. But I wake to snow falling again, which kills the urge to do anything. I am tired of picking my way through snow and ice, and I am tired of the garden being under at least 3 foot of snow. It hasn't even begun to melt back at the edge to allow eranthus to poke through with their tiny golden flowers.

I have moved the little garden onto my desk temporarily where I can get whiffs of hyacinth.
