We did it. We moved. Left behind all the gardens I’ve created over the last four years. So I’ll be starting fresh in the spring. I have very little idea what is here at the new house except plum trees and hostas in the side yard (I think I cleaned up some coreopsis, too, when I was raking), one lilac by the front door, and one nice old peegee hydrangea by the side porch. Oh, and raspberries, unexpectedly. I didn’t have time to plant bulbs when we moved in around Halloween, so I’ll have to hope there were already spring bulbs in the ground.
So far, I’m planning on putting in ferns and yellow daylillies along the side porch, and creating a small vegetable garden in the back yard. The porch can hold many hanging baskets, too.
