  <description>3 Crookneck squashes so far this season. There seems to be a bit of a non-pollination issue going on even where I've hand-fertilized, with some of the female flowers just shrivelling &amp; dropping. It's still only early days though so I won't rush to assume anything calamitous. There are some fruit set &amp; growing now, as well.

I've noticed in cooking with these that the skin is a bit tougher &amp; the seeds a bit better developed than my other squashes. I might try picking them a little earlier, or maybe use them for other cooking purposes- they might hold up to baking better than the Golden Scallopini.</description>
