I picked two beans off these vines when I first got back from the hospital, but yesterday was my first real harvest of them. A nice fat handful of purple pods, which went into a stir-fry with the Golden Scallopini squashes. Yum, and there’s plenty more on the vine. I think that this variety really is a very tasty bean variety, they seem sweeter & crisper than the Windsor Long Pods. The Blue Lake haven’t reached harvestable stage yet so haven’t taste-compared those.
