2nd Casper eggplant harvested. Again I harvested this quite small, but it seemed to have stopped growing and was resting on the mulch so I figured it was time to pick it.
Despite loads and loads of flowers since this and the other fruit set, I haven’t seen any more developing eggplants until today. I wonder if it will be able to produce more fruit at once as it matures, or if it will be a matter of needing to keep it continually picked to encourage it to keep setting fruit.

With my eggplant, it could grow multiples at once, but I did pick them relatively frequently. At some point I developed a feel for how big the right size was and tried to keep them harvested to encourage the plant to keep fruiting. Both your photos look about the size range as mine where when I picked them.

Oh good I’m glad to hear that! I pick these at a size that is a little smaller than the supermarket types so I wasn’t sure if they might grow some more if I left them longer. But they’re perfectly tender & delicious at this point, so I guess it’s all good.
Counted 2 more little eggplants swelling out of the flowers this morning, hurrah!
