<description>The weather here has been finally turning in to something that resembles spring/summer so we've been getting the last of the transplants out of the greenhouse slowly but surely. Sunday we spent planting onions as you can see from the photo.

The general garden status is:

* Pole beans up and flourishing - need to add supports though
* Peas doing okay, but we planted them too sparsely - new seeds were planted in between and are starting to emerge
* Lettuces are still doing great - lesson learned: the loose leaf seems to do better than head lettuce
* Carrots and Radishes and making progress slowly but surely
* Beets never arrived - they didn't germinate, except maybe one. don't know what happened
* Corn is still thriving with the direct sow catching up to the transplants
* Onions were doing great in the greenhouse but we moved them to the garden with the warming and they are still doing good
* Cucumber transplants all died except one, we direct sowed another batch and they are starting to come up just fine now
* Melons and squash seedlings in the greenhouse didn't germinate, we've direct sowed some, but haven't seen anything coming up yet
* Potatoes are doing great and growing like crazy
* Hops (these are Bengts) are doing quite well working their way up the trellis quickly, we've been warned they'll grow like mad and we may need to add additional height for them
* Artichokes continue to struggle but they haven't give up - the slugs keep destroying them even after we put out precautions, but with the chickens roaming and the sun they slug populations is greatly diminished
* Blueberry and Strawberries are both doing okay but I don't expect any fruit this year
* Herb bed in general is mixed - chervil, chives, flat leaf parsley are doing okay. basil and dill has died off
* Tomatoes transplants we purchased are blooming, the tomatoes I grew from seed are still growing
* Celery is doing okay, not much big growth but no signs of trouble either
* Peppers are doing well, but progressing slowly in the greenhouse. I think they are a bit water logged in my make shift pots so we are working on transplanting them.
* Sage and rosemary in pots that moved from CA are both doing very well on the front door step (when the chickens don't decide to peck at them)
* In wild stuff we have wild strawberries, salmonberries, and thimbleberries all coming in. They are pretty tasty but the wild birds get most of them before we do.
