Within a week, all of the green stalks had definitely fallen over and we're definitely looking like they were ready to be pulled out of the ground (however I didn't get any scapes nor flowers before they started dying down) The bulbs had grown a little more since the last sticky beak excavation I did a couple of weeks ago, and they had started to become a little more garlic bulb like...but they certainly weren't the size of a normal clove.

I ended up using them fresh on a garlic pizza - they were nice in a mild way, but not very garlicky.

Lessons learnt that I should remember for next time:
# Plant my garlic earlier in the season - Nov is probably too late
# Use a good potting mix instead of making do with some potting mix left over from the summer
# Compost / fertilise as soon as the weather starts warming up in the spring
# Maybe needs a more sunny possie when the weather starts warming up?

If anyone else has any tips to add to this list, I'd love to hear them!
