Day 220

fluffymuppet Repotting

Saturday, 23 Feb 08 (posted about 9 months ago) Overcast

The lemon seedlings have been happily living on the bedroom windowsill for months now, and growing slowly. I decided today that they should be repotted before the get too much older.

It was an easy job, as their root systems were still completely separate. There was an interesting citrus smell while I was repotting them. I couldn’t quite work out whether it was from the leaves (quite likely) or the roots (not impossible).

Now they’re back on the windowsill, ready for spring.

    They look very healthy :)

I thought (briefly) about saving the lemon pips from our griddled red gurnard dinner last night …. but hubby is giving me grief about the six avocado stones sitting in half an inch of water in a soup bowl in the kitchen (oops!)
