Watching plants not sprout is a little like watching paint dry

I planted a lot of bush beans in 6-paks inside under shop lights to grow them outside on top of my patio picnic table in containers high above where the rascally rabbits are. But none sprouted. So I replanted in the same 6-paks. 1 sprouted. The rest, not at all.

So while giving those double-plantings another month or whatever to try to sprout, I recently replanted in different 6-paks with different bagged potting soil. Hopefully that will help. We’ll see in a few days or weeks. At least critters are not digging up and eating the bean seeds in my 6-paks like they did out in my gardens! I’m beginning to think that vegetable gardening outside in real live dirt at ground level without rabbit protection is not what it’s made out to be.
