Plenty of moisture in the ground, which they love, and now decent sun and warmth and these plants are reaching for the sky, absolutely smothered in blooms.
Picking these four bunches this afternoon was a joy – completely intoxicated by scent and colour.

Ours have struggled this year and ‘Incense’ was very disappointing but ‘Hero’, dark navy blue, has finally started blooming and is a really nice sweet pea.
