What's that smell?

I have this thing about bringing daylilies in on the counter on hot days. I love the colorful display it makes against the white counter, as they would say in the magazines. ;)
Yesterday I walked into the kitchen and kind of caught my breath. Whew. There really are fragrant daylilies. Yesterday’s display had more reds and more flowers than the one pictured and was the most fragrant yet. Because I have allergies, and most smells make me sniffle, I don’t appreciate fragrant flowers the way most people do, unfortunately.
A few days ago, my display spilled over onto the right side of the sink and I had to get out more plastic shot glasses. That one was impressive, but it wouldn’t fit into one picture. Now, if I got a plastic tablecloth and used the table, I probably could get a picture of them all in one shot.
It’s a good way to get individual shots, too, or to put two or three side-by-side for a comparison. And I am always thinking that I can set them next to each other and decide who should be neighbors as well.
These four are featured because they just started blooming recently: Mayan Tapestry, Armageddon, French Pavilion, and Baja.
