Sitting under the walnut trees I’ve heard a whirr of wings. I’ve looked up and I have discovered that in a hole in the stonewall of the house there is a great tits’ nest. This hole is next of my window, so now I can see a continual coming and going of two tits with carterpillars in their bills.
Two years ago the hole was the nest of two redstars, then of a nuthatch (where is the nuthatch? … I haven’t seen it for a while).
Weeding around the lavender bushes I’ve found a toad, hidden among the weeds (and I have seen others in the wood).

I love your photos! We may have hummingbirds but you have that gorgeous toad and that beautiful bird. We have tufted and black crested titmouse birds that aren’t quiet as showy either.
