Haven’t been on in almost a week. So I figured I would post a quick note on what I’ve been eating!

Harvested 2lbs of Strawberries this week. – These taste soooo good!

Harvested all the Spinach since it was starting to bolt. – Definitely need to plant more to get a bigger harvest. Can I plant seed in late summer for a fall harvest?? Will have to look into that.

Harvested more Red Leaf Lettuce. – I think I can plant a little less next year, since it looks like its growing way faster then we can use it. May end up bringing some into work and giving it away.

Tomatoes – Pruned a few of the lower branches that were touching the ground and a few in the middle since the plants were getting real dense. They started to flower all over so it looks like I should be getting a good amount of tomatoes.

Peppers – I seem to be winning the war on the aphids. My friend is growing Quinoa and had some juice saved from them and had mixed it with some veggie oil and red peppers flakes then strained it. Said to give it a try, and it seems to have worked. The aphids are gone and pepper plants seem to be OK. The Cascabela actually has 1 pepper growing already (about 2" long) and 1 of the jalapenos has 2 small peppers just starting on it.

So overall things are going good. Sorry no pictures for this one, I always seem to be in the mood to write stuff when I dont have any recent pictures to post.
