Two days of rain interspersed with downpours, today we get a short break in the rain with periods of sun – very welcome. This evening it seemed so pleasant outside that I did some weeding, so another bucketful of Forget-me-nots, Ladies Bedstraw and assorted small weeds went to the compost heap. Pleasant as it is to weed amongst the thymes, it is also frustrating; I seem to prod up more thyme than grass and end up with leaves and no roots. Ah well, perhaps it slows the weeds down.
The Lavender leaves smell so strongly at the moment, in fact in this damp weather the garden is full of delicious smells. It is also beginning to be full of mozzies. In the end a combination of biting insects, winged and creeping, and tiredness drove me indoors. I should list all the flowers blooming but didn’t. So new today…

Warm damp garden is such a delicious mix of smells. Though they are all lovely, biggest thumbs up goes to the sedum bud.
