I was still having a lot of pain in my knee and hip from the fall the other day, so no strenuous garden work for me this weekend. Instead, I attended to a much needed chore – Potting things up! After going to two nurseries with my sister I had some containers to put together. I also had a lot of plants that I dug up while clearing out the gardens that needed to be potted up, too. These are going to be sold (hopefully) at my yard sale in a couple of weeks.

Plants potted for sale so far include:

My front steps are still not completely fixed, which is apparently what I tripped on when I fell. So my usual front step pots are just positioned on the sides of the front walk. I decided to go with a red-white-blue theme this year. I think they’ll look more filled in by the time of the July 4th holiday.

I also planted out some ‘Figaro’ Dahlias along the front walk border. And one small bouquet for the foyer table with Pink Chestnut Antique Rose, Penstemon ‘Husker Red’ and Astilbe ‘Europa’.
