Cosmos 'Seashells' sown
Monday, 11 Jun 12 Partly Sunny 15°C / 59°F
The Cosmos ‘Seashells mixed’ I got free with a gardening magazine sometime ago I finally got around to sowing today!
I already had some Cosmos pricked out into small pots & planted in Gerry’s allotment & in my plot (12A) but I am interested in comparing the flowers. I hope they will be in flower at the same time. Cosmos can continue growing & flowering until the frosts kill them therefore, although rather late, I expect these ‘Seashells’ to flower before the first have finished.
I sowed the packet of seeds in a tray of compost in the greenhouse on Gerry’s allotment. In a week to ten days they will have germinated. Once they are big enough to prick out I’ll put them in small pots for a few weeks & then I’ll transplant some out into Gerry’s allotment & some in mine. I’m thinking of leaving a few to grow on & flower in the greenhouse.
