June Picture Project: Artichoke question at the end

Thursday, 14 Jun 12 Rainy 17°C / 63°F

A little later this month… It seems like we’ve barely seen any sunshine, and a garden is always more glorious bathed in rays

Still, it’s looking pretty good: The garden is awaft with a sweet/spicy scent from the roses, and everything is just, well, burgeoning

I still haven’t had the heart to pull out the bolted Kale (such beautiful yellow flowers) and the raised bed is in desperate need of a weed… Somehow there are now nettles!

There aren’t any pictures of The Front this time… because everything looks a bit bedraggled… But you just wait ’til the Lilies come out (hopefully this week or next)

And if you look closely, in the bottom right of the second photo: There’s my Artichoke! Am I supposed to remove the first one, to try and get more later, I wonder?
