Picked the first bunch this morning in my PJs – their delicious scent accompanied my breakfast.

Several more tubs found down at the farm so this afternoon I graded some more floor space in the greenhouse, covering with more split open compost bags and these toms have now joined the Jersey Devils:

Purple Ukraine x2
Orange Russian117 x2
Orange Banana
Black from Tula

DS1 is supposed to have picked up 10 plants 3 weeks ago for his patio so I’m trying to keep those going without potting on any further – If i’d known it was going to be 3 weeks I would have them in larger pots by now, spreading out their roots, but each weekend he’s been coming to collect them and then something crops up and another week goes by.

Mine, on the allotment, have been flowering for several weeks now! I had to help them a bit on Saturday as they had been blown sideways before they could get a good grip on the supports. We had 2 days of very strong Southwesterly winds &they had had a noticeable effect on some plantings. I have a lot of flowers & even the self-sown ones have lots of flowers!

I have a lot of my balcony but they were only transplanted into their final positions about 3 weeks ago. They were planted in pots on the balcony in March, if I remember correctly. I’m looking forward to a great showing from them in July & onwards!

I guess yours were probably planted earlier than mine Amaryllis. Some of mine went astray a bit in the winds too – out there tying them up with my woolly hat on, it was so cold on my ears!
