Finally able to turn off the A/C (which I love when necessary) and open the windows. It is very fresh out there and I love it! I will be able to get some more things done today. :-) plans for today are to prune the unruly dwarf (HA!!) Korean lilac. I like the height, but it is SO big around that it has covered up what had been planted near it. I also need to clean out the little area near it and amend the soil with some good old compost. Then I am going to plant the centaurea montana that I got from Ross at the 2011 swap, the knautia macedonica that I WS last year (and is still sitting in it’ pot, but flowering its’ heart out). I am not sure what else will go in there. I am thinking I will leave room for the goldrausch daisy that I am getting from the swap on Saturday.
.
If I can get that area cleaned up and planted and get all the rest of the plants potted up for the swap and get them organized into the boxes with each persons name on them, then I will be happy. I also want to get the front bed by the porch steps cleaned up and planted up today. It is a small area that had a very large globe cedar in it for years, but it looked bad since being split by a very heavy snowfall a couple of years ago, so it got cut off this spring and now I need to dig out the root. Unsure of what all will be planted in there, but since the arbour is right there, I am going to plant scarlet runner beans on it. That leaves a bit of space (and I HAVE to fill up every space possible) between the arbour and the white rose of sharon that is planted at the corner of the porch. I’m thinking daylilies……we will see. :-)

It sounds like you have quite a lot of work cut out for yourself. I’m glad the weather/humidity/temps are friendlier.
