I worked at digging the expanded vegetable garden all day Saturday and again on Sunday. It was supposed to be cooler and less humid this weekend, but it didn’t feel that way to me! Photo 2 is where I got to on Saturday, Photo 3 on Sunday, complete with tomato plants grouped by variety and ready for planting.
Today I planted 46 tomato plants (Photo 1). They don’t all have stakes yet as I was just too tired to deal with pounding them in to the rocky soil. I have six ‘Jaune Flamme’ and one ‘Amish Paste’, which didn’t make the cut (Photo 4). I may plant them somewhere else if I need to fill a gap, but I will probably just compost them. (They are much more leggy than the others.)
On Saturday the cabbages and some of the lettuces were transplanted, but I’m recording them now for simplicity.

YIKES! You must be exhausted. I worked hard in the gardens all weekend, too, but no where near as hard as you did. You are to be congratulated. It all looks really really good!

Wonderful work! You know how much I love tomatoes. We started ours too late waiting to see if we would have water, they are flowering and only 6 inches tall!

@SneIrish – yes, pretty tired. Sometimes I’m not sure how to keep going but I guess I am too stubborn to quit. I tried to channel my frustration with Sears into chopping up the sod.
@LouiseM I’m growing food for three families this year, so it’s a good way to try out lots of different varieties.
@flowerweaver I’m hoping for some big bowls of heirloom tomatoes like the photos you have posted in the past!
