After a very dry and warm winter, and early spring, we have gone through a month of May filled wall-to-wall with rain and more rain. According to the forecast, there is no end in sight, either.
I have a horrible feeling that this will be a repeat of last year’s summer which was a complete wash-out. Yesterday, for example, we had a torrential downpour. (very much like last year), which caused run-off from the road to raise against the foundations of my home. Scary situation, I tell you. Today, upon inspection of the garden, I have already noticed many things rotting away. Other things broken by the torrent. And an infestation of slugs, the like of which I have NEVER seen before.

Sorry to hear things are going badly. We’ve had lots of rain, too, but obviously not as much as you. Here’s hoping things improve for you.

Fingers crossed your rain stops. Funny about the slugs as I’m noticing way more this year in my garden too – wonder if it’s some sort of secret North American slug conspiracy to take over! :)
