How did these winged beans escape my detection

Yesterday as I was exiting our laundry I noticed these two beans catching the sunlight. They were approximately 20 cm long, double the recommended harvesting size. Apparently when they get this big it is necessary to de-string them before cooking.

The fact that they went undetected by all the family and myself until now shows how camouflaged these beans are on the vine.
