A new clematis.

Thursday, 10 May 12 Sunny 21°C / 70°F

Bought a new clematis this afternoon. I noticed that Canadian Tire had some on sale this weekend, so I just had to go and check out what they had. (Told DH that I would love it for Mother’s day. :-) ) I only have two and they are both purple ones (The President and Perrin’s Pride), so I have been thinking of adding another colour. I wanted something light or white and had been thinking of Hagley Hybrid. They had some of those, so I picked one up. I have been wanting to plant something on a trellis beside the rainbarrel near the Annabelle hydrangea, so I guess this is it. :-) (yay!)

It will be interesting to see what your Hagley Hybrid looks like when it blooms. I bought one a few years ago and I can’t tell the difference between it and Nellie Moser! Whatever it is, it’s taking its time growing tall (about 5 feet in 3 years) but it blooms profusely. Enjoy!

HollyBee, at least I don’t have a Nelly Moser to get them mixed up. I can’t wait until this blooms.

Happy Mother’s Day and good for you…..gifting yourself. I don’t know clematis very well. Got my first one …..Fall blooming (white), about 5 years ago and then two Summer bloomers, just a few weeks ago. So, I’m excited and look forward to your journaling your plants progress.
