We had a delightful soaking rain this afternoon after a prolonged dry spell and I AM SO HAPPY!!! So are the cannas.
5/10 update: I checked the rain gauge this morning, and we got 1.2" yesterday. Yippee! No more watering needed until at least next week. Which means that I can spend my time and energy on other more productive-feeling projects. :)

As long as I give the cannas plenty of water they grow like gangbusters! I love the flowers and the foliage – they give our backyard a lush, tropical feel.
