Courgette destruction

Friday, 04 May 12 Overcast 14°C / 57°F

Busy busy day. Snails had been having a feast again in the greenhouse. First night without a cover and 1/2 of my courgette and cucumber plants have been eaten!! My beans have also been chomped had a good look around and found a likely suspect underneath the bean tray.

Jobs done

  • Chopped back the hideous shrub by the greenhouse ( it must go next year)
  • Cleared the area where my beans live and the path
  • Went and bought new featherboards
  • Installed the featherboard and lifted the stepping stones
  • Put down matting in the area in front of the raised beds
  • Bought 21 litres of bark

Went to bed shattered!
