I bought a packet of these small bulbs of Allium oreophillum (Yellow) in 2011 to plant on the balcony. When they had finished flowering I left them to die down & in October 2011 I dug them out of the troughs on the balcony & put them in small pots with s little compost & then stored them in the coldest place in our flat. Just a few weeks ago I took them out & put them in the greenhouse on the balcony where I watered them. As they were now showing some growth I’ve put them in the big pot where I have transplanted the Jasmine to so they add some colour low down while the Jasmine grows up high above. I also put a few mini Daffs & some Crocuses, that were growing together in the same pot, into the pot as well. Now I will have some colour in the pot for most of the year! :-))

Your arrangements of flowering plants (and others) are so creative. Can’t wait for this Summer’s balcony shots.

Glad you think so! Not much idea at present as to what I will plant apart from Sweetpeas & Morning Glory as well as some seedlings of other plants currently growing in the GH on the allotment.

If your wishlist gets any longer it will end up in the centre of the Earth! :-D) Nevertheless I’m glad you like them! I hope you realize that when you have Alliums in your garden they will be with you for ever & a couple of days!!! LOL!
