Growing agretti

I am intrigued by the plant agretti (Salsoda soda) and am trying to grow it this year for the first time. Germination has been very challenging and I wonder when I may safely put it in the garden. We are on Martha’s Vineyard – zone 7a and the soil in beginning to warm. Any suggestions – when to harvest, problems to look out for? Any input would be much appreciated. I have been growing a large garden for a millennium or two but this is definitely a new experience. Thanks.
