Yesterday evening I sprayed the lemon and orange tree with pest oil to try to get rid of the bug they’ve both got. Father-in-law says its mealy bug. The lemon tree still seems healthy enough, with plenty of green fruit all over it but the orange is looking less fortunate. Also its tiny fruit are splitting. My mum told me the cause of that but I’ve already forgotten. Next job is to fertilise tomorrow.
