This time I actually got it right. I got a domain name and hosting from GoDaddy. All my photo-instruction posts are now in downloadable pdf’s.

That’s very useful hotwired – better then bookmarking and great to print and keep in for practical reference, but….. I am getting ‘document not found’ for each one. Will try again later in the day.

sorry to report I am getting “document not found” too. Looking forward to seeing them. Are these on your private server, or the Folia server?

OK… I solved all the problems (really). I bought a domain name and and the deluxe hosting package from GoDaddy. I’ll get a folder setup tomorrow and get all my pdf’s moved into it. I’ll set it up so you can open them in Acrobat Reader and save them if you want.

Oh my goodness. Can I send you something to help pay for the file hosting?

I bought 3 domain names. I have a consulting business, also sell my my carvings, and and am setting up HotwiredGardens.com so I can start a blog, and store all my files for download. I needed this for other things anyway.

Very cool, however it should be fairly trivial and might be better for Folia to add either a “Download as PDF” option to all postings, or maybe just a “View printable version” link using CSS media settings to hide anything on the page that shouldn’t be included in the final copy. Might be worth a note in Suggestions & Feedback?
As for your own use… you may like to have a play with FPDF to add on-the-fly PDF generation to your websites, I’ve used it to good effect in the past for online calendars, plant labels and so forth.
