My grandfather used to say:
Een droge Maart
Is goud waard,
Als ’t in April
maar regenen wil.
A free translation would be:
A dry March
is worth gold
At least… if it rains in April…
March was dry again, this year, but where we had a few years that it was dry (and even hot) in April too, it’s is raining now for the third day in a row… The waterbarrels are overflowing. And I’m happy, really happy about that!
