10 days earlier than last year, and despite the lifting/washing and repotting that ocurred: 2 glossy red beetles of doom squished today! Cue maniacal OCD leaf searching, pot lifting and general hysteria.
The lilies ARE right outside the front door, though (which should make daily inspection/destruction slightly less onerous)
